Facebook saw an incredible amount of growth from June 2007 to June 2008 by raking in a 153% increase in unique visitors. That brought Facebook numbers up to 132 million for the year compared to MySpace which only saw a 3% increase with 117 million visitors. Facebook's biggest gains came internationally. Facebook saw an increase of just 38% in visitors from North America compared to Latin America which gave the social network an outstanding 1055% increase. Europe, Asia Pacific and Middle East-Africa saw increases of 303%, 458% and 403% respectively. Worldwide, unique visitors to social networking sites increased 25%. |

In the battle for the king of social networking sites it seems we have a new champion. comScore have announced that Facebook has overtaken MySpace in the number of unique visitors to take the crown away from MySpace. In 2007 MySpace touted 114 million visitors compared to Facebook's 52 million.  |
