Big Increases in Tourism to Panama in 2008

PANAMA – Tourists arriving to visit Panama between January and June 2008 spent $677.2 million dollars, 19.7% more than in the same period of the previous year, according to the Nation's Comptroller.

They also said that in the first six months of the year 765,000 tourists visited Panama, up 11.4% compared to the first six months of 2007.
